Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical ICU – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with block scheduling; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
Highlights:
- Medical-Surgical ICU with 1:2 patient ratios and 14-bed daily census
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 91-day travel assignment with one pre-approved time off period available
- 12-hour orientation with float coverage based on schedule
- Specialized equipment experience including CRRT (NXXT Stage) and advanced critical care technologies
- Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with complex medical-surgical diagnoses
Requirements:
- Active Texas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 2-3 patients
- Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and blood product administration
- Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Geographic restriction: Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris counties are not eligible
