Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical and Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing patient care on a unit with 46 beds, including both acute and intermediate care. The RN will support patient management in a busy hospital environment, with responsibilities extending to float assignments as needed and working during scheduled days.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 1-2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, and ability to work at the specified start date.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing 5-6 patients during day shift and 6-7 patients during night shift.
- Float: Float as needed to surge unit or emergency department to manage Medsurg patients unable to be accommodated on the main floor, though float is not required for this position.
- Additional Information: The facility has an admission/discharge nurse, patient ambulator, respiratory therapist, and security personnel available 24/7. No IV team or RRT team is part of this unit. Weekend and holiday shifts are based on unit needs, with staffing approximately every other weekend.
