Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position in a healthcare facility located in a state that requires active Iowa or multistate licensure. The role involves providing patient care on a med/surg unit with telemetry monitoring, including reading EKG/ECG, managing drips and titrations, and coordinating care for post-operative surgical patients. The assignment begins on 09/08/2026 and ends on 12/08/2026, with scheduled night shifts totaling 11.5 hours per shift and a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts with 11.5-hour shift duration, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry, active Iowa or multistate license, experience with EKG/ECG interpretation, and proficiency with Drips/Titrates such as heparin, insulin, diuretic infusions, amiodarone, diltiazem, and 3% saline infusion. BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required. Must have completed a travel assignment within the past 12 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous post-operative surgical care experience including procedures like EGD, colonoscopy, Cardiac Cath, and Pacemaker management. Experience with cross-unit float in med-surg and post-op units preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required across med-surg and post-op units, including units for minor surgeries.
- Additional Information:
- Candidates must be able to read ECG/EKG rhythms confidently and perform all telemetry responsibilities.
- Call back and on-call pay multipliers apply for callbacks and on-call duties.
- Candidates must have a valid drivers license, professional references within 24 months, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Orientation scheduled to begin on 09/08/2026.
- No first-time travelers; previous travel experience within 12 months required.
- Candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on drivers license.
- Past employees of the organization are ineligible for travel roles within the same market within 12 months of employment separation.
- Candidates will be interviewed quickly via phone call or text from a 405 area code.
