Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry is sought for a facility located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing patient care on a general medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities. The position offers a night shift schedule and requires adherence to unit policies and procedures, including patient monitoring and general med-surg activities.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification. No minimum years of experience required; candidate must meet educational and licensure standards for general medical-surgical nursing with telemetry.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with strong time management skills are preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to all acute care areas including med-surg, gen surg, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, and ortho.
- Additional Information: The unit has 36 beds, staffed by 10 registered nurses and 4 patient care technicians on each shift. Typical procedures include general med-surg care, telemetry monitoring, and non-titratable drips. The dress code is royal blue scrubs, with policies governing unit operations available upon request.
