Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• COVID vaccination required
• Ability to provide requested submission details, including identification information and requested time off
• Must meet facility screening requirements, including a negative drug screen

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to evolving clinical needs in an acute care environment
• Administer medications and treatments according to established care plans and provider orders
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EPIC
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and ongoing care coordination
• Maintain a professional, flexible approach while working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting
