Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Days shift in a 20-bed unit. This position involves providing direct patient care under the scope of a registered nurse, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. The role requires attending general orientation, EPIC training, and departmental orientation, with floating to other medical-surgical units as necessary.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. The shift hours are from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.
- Required Qualifications: Indiana registered nurse license, minimum of 1 year medical-surgical experience, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and at least 2 years of overall experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records and PYXIS medication system.
- Additional Information: Floating to other units/departments may be required to meet staffing needs. Orientation includes general, EPIC, and departmental training over 1-2 shifts. The assignment start date is 09/07/2026, with an end date of 12/07/2026. The candidate should be willing to submit a license and wait for processing, if necessary.
