Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position located on the Medical Surgical Floor. The role involves providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients, managing diverse clinical situations within a Level I trauma center. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, 0645-1915, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or active application with ETA, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, and isolation precautions
- Certifications: BLS required; American Heart Association (AHA) certification preferred
- Additional Information: Candidates will float within scope as needed, including within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities. RTO restrictions are ideally no more than 5 days. The assignment covers adult and geriatric patient populations with a focus on acute care procedures including TPN administration, NG insertions, tube feedings, Heparin drips, and wound care. The daily census is approximately 21 patients.
- Start/End Date: 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
- Shift Details: 12-hour day shifts; 36 hours minimum per week.
- Compliance Requirements: Documentation via Lab appointment, DocuSign, and badge photo must be completed within 1 week of contract signing. The first day includes virtual orientation and module completion by 4:00 PM CST.
- Travel and Floating: Floating within scope is required; candidates must be flexible to meet departmental needs. Transportation and lodging details to be handled separately.
