Job Summary:
Travel registered nurse (RN) specializing in medical-surgical (Med Surg) care is needed in a healthcare facility located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The role involves providing high-quality general medical care, remotely monitoring patients via telehealth, and supporting post-operative patients. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a start date of August 31, 2026, and a duration of 13 weeks.
Job Details:
- Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
- Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) shifts
- Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years Med Surg experience
- 1+ year recent travel nursing experience
- Telemetry (Tele) experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Cerner EHR experience
- Additional Information:
- Blocked scheduling requests are accepted if indicated in the submission body
- 48-hour guarantee requests are acceptable if specified in the submittal
- Facility has 352 beds with a 21-bed Med Surg unit
- Monthly patient volume of approximately 585 patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6, with a surge plan of a maximum of 1:7
- Care scope includes general medical administration, remote telemonitoring overseen by monitor technicians, and postoperative patient care
