Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position available in the St. Louis, Missouri area. This role involves providing direct patient care on a medical surgical floor, with a focus on surgical (gastrointestinal, genitourinary, plastics, overflow orthopedic) patients. The assignment offers a schedule of night shifts and a length of 13 weeks.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 1900-0730, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license eligible for licensure in Missouri, BLS certification from American Heart Association, at least 1 year of experience in a medical surgical inpatient setting, location in Missouri or current Missouri license
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS from American Heart Association, TNCC certification
- Float: Float rotation may be required depending on staffing needs
- Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for patient care, evaluates the effectiveness of care provided, coordinates with other departments, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality. The role includes working with adult patients requiring post-trauma care, surgical interventions, and management of medical comorbidities. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids may occur.
