Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to other units as needed based on competencies.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a 48-bed Medical/Surgical unit with diverse patient population
- Work with a wide range of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and more
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
- Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including central line management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, wound vac, and tracheostomy care
- One pre-approved time off period available during contract
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of application)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Must reside outside 100-mile radius of the area
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
