Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Amarillo, TX 79106
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Amarillo, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratio of 1:6. Floating to units of equal or lesser acuity required. 91-day assignment through December 8, 2026.

- Medical Surgical unit with 44 beds and average daily census of 37 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- Free floating charge nurse, dedicated Patient Care Technicians, and patient transporters available
- Centralized telemetry monitoring with house discharge nurse support across departments
- First-time travelers accepted with 20 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:
- Active Texas state or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience required
- Recent Epic charting system experience (within 6 months) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with patient ratio of 1:6
- Skills in isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care
- Must reside outside 50-mile radius from the area
