Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Orthopedic (MS ORTHO) to work on nights at a healthcare facility in the St. Louis, MO area. This position involves providing direct patient care on a 12-hour night shift, focusing on orthopedic surgical patients across all age groups. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while adhering to established standards and organizational values.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 1900-0730; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license (meeting Missouri state licensure criteria or licensed in Missouri), BLS certification from AHA, one year of experience in Medical Surgical Orthopedic nursing, inpatient setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification from AHA, additional orthopedic or surgical certifications.
- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed to similar or lower acuity units.
- Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties in alignment with the organization's mission and standards. Performs physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and assisting with patient mobility, with the potential to work varying schedules as needed. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids; physical demands may include lifting and turning patients with assistance.
