Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Registered Nurse (RN) - Palo Alto, CA. This position involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients within the medical-surgical oncology specialty, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, hospital policies, and standards of practice. The RN will perform all aspects of the nursing process, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, while collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patients and families to promote health and recovery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CA-RN license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, one year of nursing experience, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, ability to communicate effectively in English, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical oncology nursing, prior experience on an oncology floor, and demonstrated leadership in a clinical setting
- Additional Information: The position requires the ability to rapidly assess and respond to clinical situations, participate in team building activities, and contribute to the ongoing professional development of nursing staff. The RN will utilize available technology for documentation and communication, and may be involved in educational activities such as mentoring and professional presentations. The start date for this assignment is 08/12/2026.
