Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with block scheduling. Weekend coverage required (6 shifts per 6-week period). Patient ratio of 1:2.
Highlights:
- Medical-Surgical ICU environment with 16 beds and a daily census of 14 patients
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Specialized equipment experience including CRRT (NXXT Stage), ventilator management, and critical care monitoring
- 91-day travel assignment with 12-hour orientation period
- Float based on schedule with one pre-approved time off period available
- Adult and geriatric patient populations with complex medical-surgical diagnoses
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license must be in hand at time of application)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, PALS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with arterial line management, ventilator care, central line management, vasoactive drip titration, and blood product administration
- Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
