Overview

This is a 13-week travel nurse assignment for a skilled RN supporting a 36-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit. You’ll work alongside a strong clinical team, deliver patient-centered acute care, and contribute to a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, efficiency, and clinical excellence.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
• Location: Dallas, TX 75230
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Unit Size: 36 beds
• EMR: Meditech
• Floating: May float to other acute care areas including med surg, general surg, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, and ortho
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Med-surg and telemetry RN experience strongly preferred
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work night shift in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Comfortable managing patients with telemetry monitoring and non-titratable drips

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to med-surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer care for patients receiving non-titratable drips
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMR
• Maintain effective workflow while caring for patients with ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6
• Float to additional acute care units as needed based on staffing and patient care needs
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment and uphold high standards of clinical excellence
