Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical / Telemetry – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with half of scheduled shifts on weekends. Patient ratio 1:6. 19-bed unit with telemetry capabilities.
Highlights:
- Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit serving young adults through geriatric patients with diverse care needs
- 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with maximum census of 20 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- 91-day assignment with 16 hours of orientation
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, accessing/managing ports, and medical-surgical patient populations
- Candidates must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris
