Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Telemetry, stepdown, or acute care nursing experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to care for a 1:4 to 1:5 patient ratio
• Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and alternating holidays
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and common cardiac and respiratory diagnoses preferred
• Must be able to provide required submission documentation and complete a negative drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to telemetry stepdown patients with varied acuity levels
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and therapies commonly used for CHF, atrial fibrillation, syncope, and respiratory conditions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and unit workflow standards
• Float as needed while maintaining a similar patient ratio
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment on a busy acute care unit
