Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Unit
Schedule
12-hour night shifts, every other weekend as scheduled. Extra shifts may be available, with possibilities for block scheduling based on preferences.
Job Description
The Medical/Surgical unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic patient care environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical-surgical experience due to the variety of patient diagnoses. Responsibilities include managing care for patients with conditions such as CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and post-operative surgical recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Assist with procedures and patient education.
- Participate in unit orientation, training programs, and policy reviews.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must have prior experience in a medical/surgical unit.
- Epic experience is required.
- BLS and NIHSS certification required for RNs and LPNs.
- ACLS and PALS recommended but not required.
- Valid nursing license required for submission.
