• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Unit Setting: 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed medical-surgical and step-down patients
• EMR: Cerner
• Floating: May be required to float to other units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience, preferably in telemetry, progressive care, or step-down nursing
• Telemetry competency required
• Progressive care experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Positive attitude, compassionate patient care approach, and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-turnover acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled bedside nursing care for medical-surgical and step-down patients
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Manage patient assignments typically ranging from 1:5 to 1:6 depending on acuity
• Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, and nursing interventions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support short-stay and quick-turnover patients with efficient, patient-centered nursing care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly using the Cerner EMR
• Float to other hospital units when needed to support patient care across the facility
