Position Overview
- Specialty: Medical / Surgical (2N/3N Medical/Surgical Floors; potential to float as a sitter to the Senior Behavioral Health Unit or ICU in rare instances)
- Position Type: Contract
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Target Start Date: 09/07/2026 (Weekly orientations available)
- Shift: Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
(Note: Local rate is at a 40% reduction from travel)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience required. Post-surgical experience preferred.
- Licensure: Current RN license required.
- Certifications: AHA BLS required (ACLS preferred).
- Charting: Meditech EHR experience.
- Personality Fit: Flexible, great teamwork, resilient, and hard-working.
Compliance & Facility Details
- Unit Ratios: 32-bed unit (census typically sits at 10–20); patient ratios are 4–6 patients per RN.
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Typically rotates into every third weekend; no call requirements.
- Patient Population: Adults only (Geriatrics / general adult medical-surgical and post-operative patients such as backs, joints, and general surgeries; common diagnoses include sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, and renal failure).
- Dress Code: Scrub colors allowed include Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Caribbean Blue, Black, and Gray. Undershirts must be black, white, or gray, and jackets must be scrub jackets (no hoodies, sweatshirts, or fleece).
