This 13-week travel nurse assignment offers a fast-paced hospital setting, adult and geriatric patient care, and a supportive interdisciplinary team. Pocatello, Idaho (83201) offers a welcoming community and convenient access to the beauty and outdoor recreation of southeastern Idaho.

• Location: Pocatello, Idaho 83201
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 - $1,580
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Weekend Coverage: Required, with flexible scheduling needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting preferred or required
• Ability to care for a broad range of patients and manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, diabetes, and post-op needs
• Maintain professionalism, adapt to changing priorities, and support a busy hospital environment
• Float within competencies and assist wherever patient care needs are greatest
• Participate in orientation and complete onboarding requirements in a timely manner
