Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to other units as needed based on competencies.
Highlights:
- 91-day travel assignment in a dynamic medical-surgical environment with diverse patient populations
- Work with a wide range of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, trauma, cardiac conditions, post-operative care, and more
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 48-bed unit with Epic charting system and modern medical-surgical equipment
- 36 hours of orientation with 24 hours dedicated to unit-specific training
- One pre-approved time off period available during contract
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Must reside outside 100-mile radius from the location
- Proficiency in medical-surgical skills including IV management, blood product administration, wound care, tracheostomy care, isolation precautions, and more
