Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Albuquerque, NM 87109
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:6.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a dynamic Medical Surgical unit with 30 beds and average daily census of 24 patients
- Flexible scheduling with option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- First-time travelers welcome; 2 years of experience preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- Epic charting system experience required
- 12-hour orientation provided with onsite module completion
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending licenses accepted if obtained prior to start date)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with patient ratio of 1:6
- Proficiency in core Med/Surg skills including IV management, blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and management of various medical equipment
- Willingness to float within scope to like units as needed
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
