LTAC RN – Night Shift

Location: Cape Fear Valley, NC
Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 3×12 hours
Contract: 13 weeks
Weekend: Every other weekend
Call: No
 

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult LTAC patients.
• Manage patients with complex medical conditions, including:
  • Sepsis
  • COPD
  • CAD/PVD
  • Renal failure
  • Diabetes
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Cellulitis
  • Post-surgical wounds/amputations
• Manage tracheostomies, PEG tubes, central lines, PICC lines, and wound vacs.
• Provide IV medication and antibiotic therapy.
• Care for ventilated patients and patients on high-flow oxygen.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Manage feeding tubes, ostomies, CBI, chest tubes, and hemodialysis patients.
• Perform wound care and assist with wound management.
• Float within scope to other units or sister campuses as needed.
• Document patient care using EPIC.

Requirements

• 2+ years of RN experience – Required
• MS/Telemetry experience – Required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Active NC or Compact RN License
• BLS & ACLS – Required
• EPIC experience – Required
• Travel experience required
• Must be comfortable with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Every other weekend availability required
• Advanced EKG exam may be required as part of compliance for Tele/MS-Tele specialties.
