Job Summary:
Long Term Care Nursing Professional in a facility specializing in post-acute care settings. This position involves providing nursing care within a 70-bed nursing home attached to a hospital, serving predominantly elderly residents with diagnoses such as dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs. The role emphasizes clinical skills like charting, assessments, medication administration, and procedures including IV management, catheters, and ostomies.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour days, with shifts running from start date 08/31/2026 through 10/26/2026, including every other weekend and holiday availability.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and local residency within 80 miles of the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Elderly care experience, ability to work in a fast-paced post-acute environment, competent in clinical procedures such as IV insertions, cath placements, and ostomy management.
- Additional Information: The unit operates with a team including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and various interdisciplinary team members such as therapy, social workers, and dietary staff. RN staff are responsible for assessments, charting, and participating in team conferences, with on-site pharmacy and telemetry monitors (not read by RNs). Float rotation may be required, and all clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
