Job Summary:
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) position in a facility providing care for a 26-bed unit. The role involves acting as charge nurse, passing medications, and performing wound care within a long-term care environment. The position offers day shifts with a focus on managing patients with conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and dementia.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience; licensure to practice as an RN; ability to work days; located within 50 miles of the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: LTC (Long Term Care) experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Nurse responsibilities include serving as charge nurse, passing medications, and wound care. No IVs or titratable drips are involved; there are no tele monitors or RN strip reading requirements. No attendance at team conferences for acute inpatient rehab is necessary. Only limited interdisciplinary team involvement specific to LTC. No RT (Respiratory Therapist) on-site 24/7; oxygen therapy involves concentrators and portable units. Off-site pharmacy and medication dispensing system. No scrub code specified; candidates must be clean and presentable. Orientation will be 2-3 shifts. The assignment runs from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027. No weekend or holiday shifts are mandatory, and no call or standby requirements.
  • Additional Requirements: RTO (Request for Time Off) must be provided upfront for 7 days or less within a 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved. Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
