Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care in the labor and delivery department, supporting patients through birthing processes and postpartum care. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional committed to patient safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including active licensure as an RN, with at least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery. Candidate must meet all education and state licensure requirements applicable in North Carolina.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in high-volume labor and delivery units, neonatal resuscitation certification, and familiarity with hospital orientation protocols.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor. Scrub color codes are designated by role: RNsnavy and white or navy-white combination; CNAsgalaxy blue; sitterspurple; RTsmedium gray/Pewter; LPNssage green. Kronos clock-in procedures are outlined for accurate time tracking. Tobacco use is prohibited in all campus buildings and properties.
