Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse in a local healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care, attending all deliveries, including high-risk cases, and supporting patients through labor and postpartum periods. The position offers the opportunity for experienced professionals to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Certifications including BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate. Epic experience is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification is preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be necessary, including post-partum and possibly labor and delivery at the same facility.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have experience in blood/blood products administration, high-risk delivery assistance, use of maternity-specific equipment such as epidural pumps and syringe pumps, and familiarity with sterile procedures and high-acuity obstetric care. The role involves attending all deliveries, including high-risk cases, providing patient education, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including holiday coverage.
- Submittal Requirements: Candidates should respond to whether they have prior experience at similar facilities and provide two recent references covering at least one year of recent practice.
