Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the area. This role involves providing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care. The RN ensures all aspects of maternal childcare are properly managed, adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards to support healthy outcomes for mothers and infants.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with shift rotations as staffing and census require; on-call required.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure with current CPR certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within one year of employment; education as a graduate of an accredited nursing program; 0 or more years of experience in obstetrics care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Four or more years of experience in obstetrics care; strong knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal nursing practices; excellent communication skills; ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations.
- Additional Information: The RN is responsible for performing assessments, monitoring labor progress, preparing for cesarean sections and inductions, administering IV medications, maintaining infection control standards, and providing emotional support to patients. The position requires physical stamina, effective patient interaction, and the ability to manage high-stress clinical situations.
