Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a facility setting. The role involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care, supporting mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of mothers and newborns in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license; Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred; 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or a related field; Valid state licensure; Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with obstetric emergency protocols and neonatal resuscitation
- Additional Information: The role requires a comprehensive understanding of obstetric and neonatal care practices, adherence to hospital policies, and effective communication with patients and team members. The nurse will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Flexibility to work evening shifts and a commitment to lifelong learning are essential for success in this position.
