Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department (L&D) registered nurse position is located in an acute care facility, providing specialized care in maternity and childbirth services. This role involves working night shifts in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex clinical situations within the birthing unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and recent Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) at an intermediate or higher level. Minimum of 2 years circulating experience in obstetric nursing required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics, Perinatal National Certification Corporation (NCC) certifications in Maternal Newborn Nursing - Level I and Postpartum or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing - Labor and Birth, and breastfeeding certification (First Latch).
