Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Night Shift Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care to women from childbearing through the geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life. The role requires coordination with multidisciplinary teams and supports postpartum and neonatal care within the labor and delivery department.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026 and ending on 11/29/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse from the State of California; at least one-year labor and delivery experience, nursery experience (any level), postpartum experience preferred; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current NRP and hospital conscious sedation certification; experience with EPIC electronic health record system; strong labor and neonatal stabilization skills; STABLE certification is highly recommended.
- Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of employment and recertified every two years; ACLS certification preferred, with initial certification required within six months of employment and recertification every two years.
- Additional Information: The role includes administering medications, managing narcotics, providing patient education, and performing assessments aligned with patient age and developmental needs. The position requires physical capability to perform patient transfers, lifts, and other duties with adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.
