Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse for a healthcare facility in the Labor and Delivery Department. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients, including fetal non-stress tests and labor support, during daytime shifts. The role requires recent clinical experience in obstetrics, particularly labor and delivery, with a focus on high-risk cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in nursing
- Experience with fetal non-stress tests (NSTs) highly preferred
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Five (5) or more years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery (within the last two years)
- One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years
- High Risk OB experience preferred
- Additional Information:
- The position requires clinical expertise in obstetric and labor and delivery nursing, with an emphasis on managing high-risk cases. Candidates should be prepared for a fixed schedule and have recent hands-on experience in Labor and Delivery settings.
