Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) position is available at the facilitys Level II maternal care unit, offering comprehensive maternity services including a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The position involves providing specialized obstetric and neonatal nursing care across a high-risk perinatal setting. The role requires strong clinical skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to support urgent deliveries and postpartum care.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
  • Education/Experience: At least 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed RN in Labor and Delivery; valid state license; no local radius restrictions; at least 1 year of recent experience in a facility that manages over 200 deliveries preferred
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/21/2026 and concluding on 12/21/2026
  • Required qualifications: Valid and active RN license, current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring certifications; minimum 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery; skill in sterile speculum exams, high-risk delivery assist, fetal monitoring, cesarean section support, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care
  • Operational details: Staffing to maintain 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, 1:2-3 in antepartum; triage staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift; availability of surgical techs, CNAs, CRNAs, health unit coordinators, and other interdisciplinary support 24/7
  • Additional information: The unit manages 200-300 deliveries monthly, with high-risk obstetric cases including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, multiple gestations, and neonatal complications. Candidates should demonstrate competency in complex obstetric and neonatal procedures, with compliance to all certification and skill requirements.
  • RTO and scheduling restrictions: Candidates must adhere to specified time-off requests at submittal; work occurs over a set contract duration with no guarantee of over-time; must work 3 of the 5 designated holidays; tenants must include all RTO requests upfront during application.
