Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is based at a Level IV Maternal Designation facility. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume, fast-paced delivery service with over 500 deliveries per month. The position supports the clinical team in a facility with comprehensive maternal and neonatal services, including labor, antepartum, and postpartum care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas nursing license, BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting, Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution
- Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery service, Certified in the STABLE Program, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Additional Information: The unit offers an academic teaching environment along with large private obstetric practices. The facility features 20 labor, delivery, and recovery suites, 4 C-section rooms, 10 triage rooms, and numerous Mother-Baby and antepartum rooms. It provides 24-hour in-house attending obstetrician coverage, anesthesia services, and NICU support, with plans to expand to a new Womens Tower in mid-2026.
