Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist position in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized care for mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The position offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility serving a diverse patient population, supporting the hospitals mission to deliver comprehensive maternal healthcare.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification(s) in Labor and Delivery, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and a minimum of 0 years of experience. A valid license or registration as a healthcare professional in the state is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-volume L&D department, certification in fetal monitoring, and additional obstetric or maternal health certifications are preferred.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have required certifications prior to start. Orientation sessions are held weekly on Mondays. The position involves working in a 295-bed acute care facility with advanced cardiac and neurosurgical programs, serving an 11-county area in south central Kentucky.
