Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurses provide critical care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth. This role involves monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, managing pain control methods such as epidurals, assisting with vaginal and surgical deliveries, and educating families on postpartum recovery. The position requires working nights in a high-stakes environment, supporting the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, approximately 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Nursys License, active professional license/certificate verification, driver's license or state ID, Ascension profile, professional references, and an updated resume.
- Additional Information: The assignment involves working up to 6 weekend shifts and holidays per department needs.
