Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn health.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in labor and delivery required.
- Must have circulating experience.
- Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Recent EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – Intermediate level minimum required
- Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
- ALSO (Advanced Life Support for Obstetrics)
- Perinatal NCC Certifications:
- Maternal Newborn Nursing – Level I
- Postpartum or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing – Labor and Birth
- First Latch (Breastfeeding Certification)
