Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Family Birthing Center is responsible for providing care in Labor and Delivery, including routine deliveries, couplets, and term and preterm cases. This role does not involve high-risk cases, which are transferred as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for approximately 45 deliveries per month.
- Manage labor and delivery cases, including standard and preterm deliveries, and care for couplets.
- Collaborate with 2 RNs and 1 RT during each delivery.
- Participate in bedside report and ensure continuity of care.
- Work independently and manage emergencies, particularly during night shifts.
Requirements:
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced AWHONN are required.
- Preferably hold STABLE certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery setting.
