Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Albuquerque, NM 87109
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement of 4-6 shifts per 6-week period. Patient ratio of 2:1.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a busy Labor and Delivery unit with 100-200 births per month
- First-time travelers welcome with 3 years of experience preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
- 15-bed unit caring for neonatal and adult patient populations
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- 36-hour orientation to ensure successful onboarding
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted, must be obtained prior to start date)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications acceptable)
- Experience with patient ratio of 2:1 and electronic charting systems required
- Skills in antepartum care, labor and delivery, assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, C-section recovery, triage of obstetrical patients, external fetal monitoring, and sterile vaginal exams
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
