**Join Our Dynamic Labor and Delivery Team!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Overview:** - Location: SAMC, 2 North - Department Number: 70777 Labor and Delivery - Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) - No Call Requirements - **Unit Features:** - Total Beds: - 12 LDR Beds - 5 Ante Partum Beds - 4 OBED - 3 OR Rooms - Total Staff: 72 (including nursing, CST, and schedulers) - **Staffing Details:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 2 CSTs, 1 Scheduler - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 RNs, 1 CST, 1 Scheduler - Patient Ratios: 1:2 and 1:1 based on transition and acuity - **Equipment and Technology:** - Alaris Pumps & CADD Epidural Pumps - EMR Systems: CPN and Meditech - Current Focus on High-Risk Obstetrics - **Essential Qualifications:** - Must-have Skills: - CST Certification - Minimum 2 years' experience in High Risk OB - Nursing candidates with at least 3 years' experience in High Risk OB - Current Advanced EFM/AWHONN Intermediate EFM Certification - **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with High-Risk OB including Massive Transfusion - Familiarity with PASD (Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders) - **Typical Procedures:** - C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E - Twin Deliveries (both C-section and SVD) - Scheduled and Emergent C-Hysterectomy - Management of Massive Transfusion Cases - **Team and Culture:** - Highly engaged and motivated staff - Positive, team-oriented atmosphere with self-scheduling options - Mix of tenured staff and newer, dynamic team members - Strong relationships between staff and physicians - Active, supportive management team that rounds on nights and weekends - **Awards and Recognition:** - Level II Trauma ED that supports obstetrical patients with Level I and II injuries - Maternal Designation Level III and Neonatal Level II, with advancements in progress - Joint Commission accredited in Women’s Health Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
