**Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Number of Beds: - 4 OBED stretchers - 7 Antepartum Beds - 10 labor beds (note: room 11 is down for a broken labor bed) - 2 LDOR rooms - 2 LD PACU bays - Number of Staff: 79 - Types of Staff: - **Day Shift:** - 1 CNC - 1 Unit Secretary - 8 RNs - 2 Scrub Techs - 1 TCN - 1 Resource TCN - **Night Shift:** - 1 CNC - 1 Unit Secretary - 2 Scrub Techs - 7 RNs - 1 TCN - 1 Resource TCN - Patient Ratios: - OBED (1:2-4 depending on acuity) - APU (1:2-4 depending on acuity) - LDU (1:1-2 depending on acuity) - Equipment You Will Use: - Bedside ultrasounds - Dopplers - Fetal monitors - Infant warmers - OR equipment - Labor beds - Sterile vaginal tables - Glucometers - EMR Systems: - Meditech - GE CPN Centricity - **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Skills Required:** - 2 complete years of LDU experience (off of orientation) - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWOHNN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP - Proficient in managing: - Magnesium Sulfate Drip - Oxytocin - Insulin drip (on occasion) - **Preferred Skills:** - Transition Care Nursing (TCN) experience with neonates is a plus - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Sterile vaginal exams - FSE/IUPC placement - Circulating cesarean sections - Non-Stress Tests (NSTs) - Oxytocin Induction/Augmentation - Magnesium Sulfate therapy for Preeclampsia and Fetal Neuroprotection - Insulin drip titration - **Best Personality Fit:** - Flexible and adaptable - **Required Certifications:** - BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWOHNN), and NRP from AAP - **Floating Areas:** - APU - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color/Attire: Royal Blue tops and bottoms - **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Follow attendance policy - Meet schedule commitments - Note: the unit can cancel your shift up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract depending on census - **Weekend Requirement:** - 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (every 4 weeks) **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
