Job Summary
Vascular and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) IV Therapy Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized vascular access and IV therapy services with an emphasis on PICC insertions and patient care for adult, neonatal, and geriatric populations. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 1 year of experience in vascular access or IV therapy, certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), and experience with adult inpatient care, indications/contraindications, procedural time out, aseptic technique, device stabilization, dressing change/frequency, flushing, insertion, patency assessment, site assessment, ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, and management of complications such as infection, thrombosis, and embolism.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a community hospital setting, familiarity with Epic charting system, and prior travel or mission experience.
  • Additional Information: Must be willing to work a schedule that covers weekends, including every other weekend, and be available to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). No on-call required. Candidates should be able to float between units, specifically vascular access and IV teams. Submittals must include responses to questions about prior employment at healthcare facilities and references covering the past three years.
