Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) position based in Thornton, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized patient care within the interventional radiology unit, supporting procedures such as vascular access, conscious sedation, and critical care. The position offers a day shift schedule with a focus on teamwork, advanced technology, and a supportive work environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: Thornton, Colorado
- Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current acute care IR RN experience with a minimum of 1 year; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; applicable licensure in Colorado
- Preferred Qualifications: Meditech electronic medical record experience; proficient vascular access skills; PICC line or midline experience
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Type of Staff: Day Shift 2 IR RNs and 2 IR Technicians; On-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends, 7-9 shifts per month
- Unit Information: 150-bed facility; staffed with 5 team members; equipped with Siemens single-plane C-arm and other advanced imaging technology
- Typical Procedures: Para/thora/LVO/FNA/Midline/PICLine/Kypho/PE thrombectomy, vascular access, conscious sedation, and critical care support
- Additional Information: The IR department works closely with imaging departments, and leadership fosters a supportive and collaborative environment focused on success and patient care excellence.
