Position Breakdown – Travel IR RN
- Shift: Day, 4×10s
- Hours: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics
- Daily Census: ~30
- Procedure Rooms: 8
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
Normal Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN License — required at submission
- BLS — required
- ACLS — required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Interventional Radiology experience — required
- Epic experience preferred
- Travel experience not specifically required
- Education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
IR Procedures
- Vascular access
- IVC filter placement/removal
- Embolization
- TIPS
- Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE)
- Fistulagram
- PCN
- PTC
- Drains
- Venous reconstruction
- Lines, ports, biopsies
- Paracentesis / thoracentesis
No Cath, EP, Neuro, or Hybrid OR cases.
Skills
- Circulating procedures
- Interventional Radiology
- Dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Scrub procedures preferred
- Triage
- Pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring preferred
Call & Weekend
- 2 call shifts during the contract
- Weekend coverage: every other or every third weekend as needed
- Floating may be required
- 1 weekend shift listed per contract
Compliance / Submission Requirements
- 2 professional references required
- At least 1 must be a manager/director/supervisor or formal leader
- Charge RN can be the second reference
- No coworker references
- RTO must be submitted upfront and included in the contract
- Only one Ohio State University location can be submitted to
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- COVID vaccine not required
- Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only
Important Ohio Fingerprinting
This is a Tier 4 compliance position with a strict deadline. Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting as soon as they sign the contract. Delays or lack of responsiveness during credentialing can result in a start-date push or cancellation.
Key candidate check: Before submission, confirm active Ohio RN license, 2+ years IR experience, BLS/ACLS, willingness to complete urgent fingerprinting, 2 acceptable references, and RTO.
