Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves providing specialized care within the IR unit, focusing on neuro and body interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of related experience, ensuring proficiency in sterile techniques, procedural preps, and patient recovery, with a strong emphasis on trauma care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with shifts starting at either 07:00 or 07:30, totaling 40 hours per week. Off days include one weekday during the week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license and current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, including neuro and/or interventional radiology, with at least level I trauma experience. Experience in pre-operative and post-operative care of patients, including conscious sedation and general anesthesia recovery, is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interventional procedures such as chemo embolization, Y-90, IVC filters, vascular access, angiograms, CT biopsies, and stroke treatment. Familiarity with electronic medical records using Cerner system is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The role involves performing clinical skills such as sterile field maintenance, wound care, lifts, restraints, and procedural assistance. Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a pass/fail skills lab covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. The assignment includes occasional weekend and holiday shifts, with the possibility of extra call shifts averaging 4-5 per month. Candidates should have reliable transportation, natural hair color, and no facial piercings. This position is situated within a trauma level 1 acute care setting.
