Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse position located in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves supporting patients in the intermediate care setting, with responsibilities including post-op cardiac care and supporting various medical specialties. The position requires adherence to unit protocols and collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2 years experience, 1 year in unit experience required; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required, with NIHSS required prior to start; must have large trauma level 1 experience in the last year; Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable; cardiothoracic and vascular experience required; must have post-operative 1 day hearts open/closed experience to submit; cardiac experience required.
- Additional Information: IVS to OFFER; Monday to Sunday schedule; no block schedules for any reason; bi-weekly orientations on Monday; please ensure all employment gaps over 90 days are explained; this facility requires ALL work history information (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) to be complete in order to submit; public transportation is NOT accessible in this area, reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly recommended; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during the months of November April.
