Job Summary:
IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) Nurse in a facility located in the area. The position involves providing care for a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and stroke patients. The unit strives to follow a schedule of two out of three weekends per month, with flexibility based on operational needs. Orientation occurs every other Monday, and candidates must have prior experience and current licensure to qualify.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 09/21/2026 and ending 12/19/2026. Orientation occurs every other Monday.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, active VA or Compact License, Certifications in BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting. Candidate must have prior travel experience for all Central positions, and be willing to take charge responsibilities with appropriate pay differential and training.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system, charge experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may not be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves working with a mix of acuity-level patients including med-surg, tele, cardiac, neuro, CVA, and neuro patients. The unit follows a 2/3 weekend schedule but may vary according to patient census. All requested time off must be included at submission. The client can cancel up to 36 hours prior to the assignment for census reasons. The team will often work with students and new hires, promoting a supportive culture.
