Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Rockford, Illinois. This position involves providing direct patient care for cardiac and post-cardiac procedure patients within a specialized unit. The RN will be responsible for managing patients with conditions such as new bipap, diabetic ketoacidosis, alcohol withdrawal symptoms, and those requiring titrating drips, within a pod of eight patients. The role requires flexibility with a rotating shift schedule, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Education or experience details: no minimum experience required, current licensure as a registered nurse, and work authorization for the location.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac patients, open heart procedures, TAVR, Watchman device, and post-procedure care is preferred.
- Additional Information: The position involves managing a pod of eight patients within an Intermediate Care Unit, handling complex cardiac cases, patients on titrating drips, and those with respiratory and metabolic emergencies. The assignment begins on 08/23/2026.
