Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care – Tyler, TX 75701
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio 1:4. Orientation provided with 36 hours allocated.
Highlights:
- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC/Stepdown) position with 16-bed unit
- Epic charting system utilized
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- 13-week travel assignment with opportunity for pre-approved time off
- Adult patient population in a progressive care environment
- Weekend coverage requirement: approximately half of contract weekends
Requirements:
- Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
- BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Proficiency in IMC/Stepdown skills including telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, ventilated patient care, central line management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
- Geographic restrictions apply; certain local county residents not eligible
